Two shots in Sunday's loss
McCowatt generated two shots (two on goal) and two crosses (zero accurate) in Sunday's 3-1 loss versus Egypt. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 34th minute.
Analysis: McCowatt started his second straight World Cup match, this time finishing the match with two shots on target. One -- a header in the 52nd minute -- came extremely close to going over the line, but Mostafa Shobeir made an impressive save. McCowatt was subbed off for Ben Old in the 66th minute, in part because he was on a yellow card, just before Egypt scored its second goal to complete the comeback. He will be desperate to create a goal for his country in the final group stage match versus Belgium on Friday, a must-win match for both sides.
